As time passes by I found some useful webpages which might be of interest for other students as well.
- Libraries:
Indispensable for every student are the webpages from the important libraries in Karlsruhe, such as the Badische Landesbibliothek (BLB) and the library on campus. The second one also offers many electronical resources (an access to the campus network is necessary).
- Books used and cheap:
Since I love buying books I am happy about the service findmybook which searches for the lowest price in several online-shops. The older the book the higher are the chances to make a real bargain.
- Access to the ReDi data base:
The database which makes the inquiry for scientific articles a lot easier (and more comfortable from home). To log on one needs to fill in the account information from university library.
- Pretty important for historians:
An important online platform for historians can be found here. Loads of information, reviews, book presentations...
- Biographical information:
The well-known »Allgemeine deutsche Biographie« might be an opportunity if the libraries are closed or too far away.
- Nice overview about epoches of literary history:
Although this page is no scientific reference the articles about every important phase of literature are pretty nice and helpful.
